I visited Jamaica for my birthday in March 2018. I stayed on an adult only resort called the Riu Reggae located in Montego Bay. The benefits of staying on this resort is that it is next door to two other Riu Resorts and you are able to spend time at each location if you would like to. They offer different activities, restaurants, and one had a club. The resorts are all-inclusive, and the Riu Reggae had alcoholic beverages stored in your room. When visiting Jamaica, I participated in a lot of activities. I ended up purchasing excursions with the resort. They had three different vendors offering excursions, so I like to visit each one and booked with the one offering the lowest cost. Make sure you exchange currency to the Jamaican Dollar because not all places will except other money.
Things to do:

We booked an excursion to ride horse on land and in the water. This was a very fun activity because this was my 1st time as an adult riding a horse (I rode a small mule when I was a child). Riding the horses up the mountains really required you to take charge so be sure to listen to the advice the instructors give you in the beginning.

Riding the horses in the water was certainly more difficult then riding on land. The horses moved at a faster pace to get through the moving water.

I booked a trip to Ocho Rios and climbed Dunn’s Rivers Fall. This was a great experience. It was difficult but well worth the memory of climbing multiple levels of the water fall to get to the top. Some levels are more steep and difficult than others. Be sure to purchase water shoes, I got a pair from Walmart for less than $5.00.
We took a taxi and visited two local clubs during our time in Montego Bay, two of their popular clubs were Margaritaville and Pier One. Both clubs were extremely fun. Make sure you check with some of the staff to see which nights the clubs are most popular.
